VIDEO: Fine music at the New Bedford Summerfest
One of the great things about a festival like New Bedford’s Summerfest is that you can enjoy the festival whether you visit the main stage or hang out in one of it’s smaller venues. I spent Saturday visiting the Garden Street stage to catch the show by Jake Armerding, an Ipswich native (now of Minneapolis), and then enjoyed shows in the New Bedford Whaling Museum. The museum shows explored traditional music and songs to lift your spirits.
In addition to Jake and his brother Jesse Armerding, I saw Joel Mabus, James Keelaghan, Anais Mitchell, Jeff Warner, TradMore, Art Tebbetts, Vance Gilbert, Ronny Cox (folk singer and actor) and New York songsmith Jack Hardy.
Here is a selection of music that I enjoyed Saturday:
nicely done Steve.

Thanks for the video. It gave me a chance to hear some of the voices I missed during the festival.
